Daniel Goldberg
Founder
Daniel was born in Germany, and completed his architectural degree there before moving to the UK. He spent much of his professional career in London working for leading design studios, including Foster+Partners where he worked on large cultural projects, such as the British Museum Great Court. Daniel worked subsequently for Francis Design, a leading yacht design studio, and was responsible for the exterior and interior design of some of the world’s largest private yachts. Daniel is a licensed architect in Germany and the UK. He won the John Barrett Award and was nominated Young Engineer of the Year in 1999.
Mário Lourenço
Mário studied and qualified as an Architect in Portugal. He has since worked with award winning practices in Lisbon, Shanghai and London. Before joining State of Craft in 2013, he worked with David Chipperfield Architects on several London projects such as Elizabeth House, Portland House, Royal Academy of Arts and PACE Gallery London. At State of Craft Mário has followed the Shard Place residential project since inception through to completion, having also during this period been responsible for numerous other projects including The Shard Residences and One Circular Quay.
Ben Wright
Ben has 18 years experience as a designer and project leader specialising in high-end residential and cultural projects. He was the Principal Associate at Jonathan Woolf Architects for 6 years and a Designer at David Chipperfield Architects before joining State of Craft in 2013 where he led One Sydney Harbour and a range of other residential developments. Ben has also taught at a number of Architectural Schools including Kingston, London Metropolitan and Brighton. Having left SOC to gain valuable experience working in Sydney, Ben has since rejoined SOC to lead projects from Sydney and serve SOC’s Australian clients. Ben bring his considerable expertise to complex projects
John Silver
John Silver trained as an architect at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Having graduated with a first class degree in 1982 and gained his diploma in 1984, John joined Foster+Partners, becoming a director in 1994. During his 20 years with the practice, John was responsible for a wide range of award-winning projects across commercial, infrastructure, cultural, educational, hospitality, healthcare, residential and mixed-use sectors. From 2004 to 2012 John worked with Bogle Flanagan Lawrence Silver as a director. In 2012 John joined Doone Silver Kerr where he continued to deliver innovative projects in the UK and Japan.
Yui Fan Law
Yui moved to London from Hong Kong in 1988. He studied architecture at the University of Westminster, and worked at BBM Sustainable Design upon graduation. In 2000 he joined Foster+Partners, where he worked on a wide range of projects including 10 Gresham Street, the Centrica HQ at Granton, the Granton Masterplan in Edinburgh for Transco and More London Riverside. Yui joined Hamilton Associates (Later BFLS) in 2003 where he was an associate, involved in a wide range of projects including residential and commercial schemes in the UK, Europe and China.
James Beadnall
James was born in London and completed his studies at Glasgow’s Mackintosh School of Architecture, followed by a Master of Architecture at Central Saint Martins. He has extensive experience working in leading design studios in London and Shanghai. Previously, as an Associate at Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, he was responsible for leading innovative interior projects with a focus on adaptive reuse, hospitality, and luxury residential sectors. At State of Craft, James has contributed to delivering high-end residential designs,applying his expertise to create exceptional and impactful spaces with Daniel and the team.
Denise Coelho
Denise is originally from Portugal, where she obtained her architec-ture bachelor at Minho University in 2012, followed by a master de-gree in ZHAW- School of Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering, in Switzerland. She has been working at State of Craft since 2017, leading various residential projects and being responsible for all in-house computer visualisations, having gathered extensive experience in visualising the complex details of residential interiors.
Ricardo Sousa
Ricardo received his degree in Architecture at Minho University, Portugal, in 2014. He served as an assistant and restorer of architectural documentation at the Portuguese Centre for Architecture until 2019. He joined State of Craft in 2020, assisting with significant the studio’s residential projects in Australia and Canada. Ricardo has extensive experience in 3d modelling.
